Hi, my focus CC3 2.0 Tdci, Went to start car tonight at work so could put roof down, (really nice and sunny), had message on dash stating Engine Malfunction, but no other lights showing up, turn engine off and went back to work, came out 20mins later and started the car, engine ran very well but massage reappeared Engine Malfunction.
This can be caused by the failure of a couple of different sensors, a faulty injector, wiring plugs, compression problem, etc. Any competent mechanic should be able to read the fault codes stored by the car's on-board computer and perform a proper diag/repair. #3 02-07-2013 3:48pm.AL619 available here http://www.ukprodiagnostics.co.uk/pages/Autel_Autolink_AL619_SRS_ABS_Reset_Tool_219209-z=710090&p=89025.cfm Ford Model: Focus Zetec Climate 5dr TDCi 1.6. Ford Year: 2007. UK/Ireland Location: Warwickshire. Posted April 9, 2012. The diesel lump is a big piece of metal, and holds it heat for quite some time, so the fan coming on "within no time" might not mean anything. The phrase "within no time" is quite subjective, do you mean seconds, minutes or I have a Ford Mondeo Titanium 2.0 litre engine, TDCI, 58 registered. I bought it just 2 months ago from my friend who had it as a company car. I believe it was well maintained with required servicing. But now I encountered a problem. I am rather new to Ford cars, so I would appreciate any your help with the following issue. In the past couple of days I've noticed a real lack of power from my 1.6 TDCI engine. Whenever I accelerate in 4th or 5th gear the power seems to come in pulses but again not overly powerful. Tonight whilst joining the motorway, again with the car feeling sluggish, the engine malfunction warning appeared on the trip computer followed by the MddS3Eg.
