Couple of questions. 1. I did ipconfig/all and saw wi-fi direct as one of the adapters (Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter). Does it mean wi-fi direct is supported in my machine? 2. Does both machines needs wi-fi direct enabled? or one can be a host which is wi-fi direct enabled and the other can connect through wi-fi.

There are no real settings as such i.e. if adapter is capable of supporting wifi direct, it just sees the device that also has wifi direct rather like how you see a router. I.e. you see a wifi direct ssid and need the appropriate password to connect. 3. Report abuse. Try restoring windows back to a previous system restore point. Hopefully the virtual driver will exist.
